Grant Aid: Funding your energy goals

Ireland has become only the second country in the world to declare a national climate emergency. As we all digest the contents of the Climate Action Plan 2019, outlining how Ireland will reach its 2030 carbon emission targets and beyond, it can be a daunting prospect for an organisation to meet sector targets with tight financial margins.

The truth is, Ireland is well below its 2020 carbon emission targets with even more accelerated targets set for 2030. Companies both large and small are feeling the pressure to reduce their energy consumption.  Doing so can involve high capital costs, making it difficult to meet sustainability goals and objectives.

Government funding and grant aid though is available to help.  Supports can make a significant difference to the viability of a project.  Knowing how to apply for funding and what is right for you is an important first step.

The ORS energy team has prepared a handy summary of financial support available to organisations.  It outlines the grants available and specifics of the support.
