About the role
ORS is one of the leading building consultants in Ireland. Our project management team consists of experienced and dynamic professionals dedicated to delivering projects in line with our client’s requirements. We currently require an experienced project manager to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of complex projects.
The role is ideal for professionals with a solid construction background looking for the next step in their career. The successful candidate will have the skills necessary to determine and define the scope of work and deliverables for each project, predicting resources required to complete projects, obtaining permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisites. Experience in managing costs to meet budget, providing contract and subcontract direction is essential. As a senior member of the team, you will ensure works are carried out in accordance with relevant building and safety codes and coordinate deliverables across multidisciplinary teams, including architects, designers, engineers and subcontractors.
Skills and experience
- Bachelors degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture.
- 4-7 years of experience in project management in construction.
- Comfortable reading and understanding drawings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles.
- Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs.
- A high degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
