ORS – A BRIEF HISTORY

In 1991, Paul O’Reilly and Finbarr Stuart founded ORS because they wanted to make a difference.  The company grew to 100 people with a presence in five European countries.  The aftermath of the global crash resulted in significant down-sizing for many businesses in the construction sector and ORS was not immune.

The firm has seen many changes over the last 25 years. Mid-2013, the market changed and the firm began to see new opportunities emerge.  In 2015 it appointed John Brennan as Managing Director.  2016 was a big year for ORS. John put in place an ambitious plan for annual growth over a five-year period and invested in a substantial re-brand project.  The new brand reflects the development of ORS into a dynamic business and the innovative way it does business.

Commenting on the success of the company, John said ‘Our success is based on three key things.  Passion for what we do to offer intelligent, workable solutions that create a better built environment. Drive that keeps us motivated to work hard and grasp opportunities.  And most importantly support.  Support from our fantastic team of people who have grown with us as the backbone of the company.  Support from our clients who inspire us to always deliver to the highest quality and strive to achieve our vision.’
He continued ‘Many of the clients we work with traded through the challenging years of the recession.  Their resilience and entrepreneurial spirit have played an important role in guiding the construction sector out of recession.’

Speaking about the company, John said ‘We are attracting high quality professionals to work in our team which has grown by 40% over the last 12 months. We have nationwide reach with offices in the East and West of Ireland.  This allows our people to quickly respond to on-site requirements and be available for project meetings wherever the location.’
